Hi, I am Louise Osbourne, I have recently taken on my married name, I really liked my madien name which was Lennon but some things ya just gotta do for the husband. welcome to my website!
I am a 30 years old actress from Dublin. I moved to the USA from Ireland when I was 19 with a head full of acting dreams. I did a lot of travelling at first, from beaches in Delaware to Key West, Florida, then on to San Francisco where I began working as a production assistant on features and TV.
I worked on big budget movies such as ‘What dreams may come’ with Robin Williams, ‘Dr. Dolittle’ with Eddie Murphy and ‘Fathers Day’, another Robin Williams film. I then worked for a year in the locations department of Nash Bridges, a TV show starring Don Johnson.
Although I had a great time working on the movies and TV, I became frustrated always being behind the camera when I desperately wanted to be acting in front of it. When my job on Nash Bridges ended I got a job as Jenna Elfman’s driver, whilst working on a movie called ‘ED TV’.
Jenna was a great inspiration and told me I needed to be in LA if I wanted to act. Much to the producers horror, she told them I was to be her driver for the whole shoot not just the San Francisco part! I moved to LA and stayed with Jenna, she got me into her acting class and gave me a walk on part in Dharma and Gregg, which got me into the union, SAG.
Since then I have worked as a personal assistant for Catherine Zeta Jones and director Steve Carr. Whilst working for these mentors, I got parts in ‘Dr. Dolittle 2’ and ‘American Sweethearts’.
I recently finished playing the lead in a production of ‘The Lonesome West’, a play by Martin McDunnagh. In September of 2002 I got a part in an Irish special of ‘Murder She Wrote’, starring Angela Lansbury. This will be airing in the USA and Ireland in February.
In 2002 I fell in love and decided to move home to get married. I am now living in the Wicklow mountains and loving it. In March 2004 I got a part in the Irish drama "The Clinic" and In June 2005 I starred opposite Patrick Bergin and Alan Devine in a super natural thriller called Ghostwood which will be premiering this July. |
